What Is Involved In A Sexual Health Check?

I’m planning on going for a sexual health check just to be safe however I’m really nervous as to what happens. I want to have a test for the common STIs such a chlamydia and ghonerrea but will it be a swab and can I do the swab myself? I am going to go the the main hospital clinic. Can anyone help me out?

As I remember it’s just a urine test and blood test for a guy though depending on what the doctor says (depedning what kinds of sexual activities you get up to) they can suggest you do the swab test too.
Remember though if you are uncomfortable with doing any of the tests you don’t have to (ie you could opt for just doing the Blood)
You have the right to ask for a doctor of sex of your choosing (though you may have to wait for another day)
I the swabs are done by the doctor ,since they know where to swab and how to do it.
Also they’ve done it to thousands of others they’l probably forget about you by the end of the day.

you can take a urine test or get a swab the nurse etc will do the swab however don’t be embarrassed better being safe than sorry and it only takes 2 min
think you can swab yourself. sometimes the doc will feel down there and your boobs just to check everything is okay
